Cooking pita bread with apples:

Step 1: prepare the butter.

We spread the butter in a Turk and put the container on a small fire. With constant stirring with a wooden spatula or a tablespoon, melt the butter until liquid. Immediately after that, turn off the burner, and set the oil aside to cool to a liquid state.

Step 2: prepare the lemon.

To prepare the pies, we need not the lemon itself, but only its juice to give the filling spicy acid. Therefore, to begin with, slightly rinse the citrus under running water and then, using a manual juicer, squeeze the juice out of half a lemon.

Step 3: prepare the walnuts.

We lay the walnuts on a cutting board and use a knife to chop into small pieces. After that, we transfer to a free plate.

Step 4: prepare the apples.

First, we wash the apples well under running warm water. After - put it on a cutting board and use a knife to cut the fruit into two halves. Remove the core from each part of the apple and remove the tail. And now we cut the apples into thin small pieces. Attention: apple peel can be cut as desired. If the apple is young, then you can leave the skin. Shredded component is transferred to a bowl.

Step 5: prepare the filling.

Pour freshly squeezed lemon juice into a bowl with chopped apple, and add sugar, vanilla sugar and walnuts to taste. Using a tablespoon, mix well until the lemon juice saturates apple slices well and the sugar does not melt slightly.

Step 6: make pita bread with apples.

Using a knife, we cut the leaves of pita bread into rectangular pieces on a cutting board of the size that you want to see your pies. After that, using a pastry brush, grease each piece with a small amount of melted butter. This must be done so that the pita, soaked in the creamy component, becomes soft and does not dry during the frying process from the inside. Spread a small amount of apple-nut filling on each piece with a tablespoon. Attention: you can put the filling on the entire surface of the pita, or you can from one edge. It all depends on how you want to form pies, but you can form them in different ways. For example, you can wrap the filling in lavash in the form of squares, or you can even roll the pies into rolls. The main thing is that after it was convenient to fry them, and the filling does not fall out of pita bread. Therefore, the first thing, after we lay out the filling, we bend the edges of the pita bread inside the dish, and only after that we form pies. Now put the pan on medium heat and pour a small amount of oil into the container. When the oil warms up well, make the fire less than average and put the pies seam down into the container. We fry the dish on one side for 2-4 minutes so that the pie is covered with a golden crust and after that - immediately turn it over with the help of a wooden spatula to the other side and also fry the pie until golden brown. Then, with the helpers, we transfer the dish to the serving plate, and put the next batch of pies in the pan. And so on until we fry all the pies.

Step 7: serve pita bread with apples.

Pita pies with apples turn out very tasty, fragrant, with delicate sweet and sour filling and golden fried crust. Before serving, cooled pies can be optionally sprinkled with a small amount of powdered sugar. We treat friends and relatives with a dish along with hot tea or a cup of coffee. Good appetite!

Recipe Tips:

- - To prepare the filling, apples can also be chopped on a coarse grater. Only in this case, if the fruit is quite juicy, it will be necessary to drain the apple juice that has formed before the pies are formed, so that during cooking the dish does not get wet inside and does not tear right in the pan.

- - Instead of walnuts, you can add any other nuts to your taste to the filling.

- - For the preparation of the filling for pies, it is best to use apples of sweet hard varieties.

- - Lavash pies with apples can also be baked in the oven. To do this, it is best to grease a baking sheet with vegetable or melted butter, and grease the patties on top with beaten egg yolk so that the patties turn out with a brownish crust.
