You can grate, but the first way seems to me more convenient. Add butter to a bowl of flour. Stir the future dough with your hands until you get loose crumb. It remains to add 3 tablespoons of cold and clean water, and then kneading, to get an elastic and smooth lump of dough, which we put on a flat plate and send in the refrigerator for 40 minutes - 1 hour.

Step 3: Prepare caramel for apple filling.

Take a baking dish (if it can be heated on a stove) or a deep pan. This is necessary to make caramel. Nothing complicated - pour all the granulated sugar and add a spoonful of water. Turn on the stove and bring the sugar to a boil, and boil for 5 minutes, until the caramel thickens. Add the butter, stir the caramel with a culinary wooden spatula and continue to boil for another 5 minutes. Caramel gets a brownish tint, and it is ready.

Step 4: Prepare the apple filling for the Taten tart.

While the caramel is boiling, turn on the oven so that it has time to warm up to 180 degrees. We spread apples in caramel, in layers. That is, first we spread the first layer of apples tightly, with the wide side down, and then cover them with the remaining layer on top. Cover the form with baking paper or foil on top and send it to the oven for half an hour.

Step 5: Cooking the Tarten Tart.

While the apples are baked in caramel, we will do the dough. We take it out of the refrigerator and roll it into a thin layer, about 5 millimeters thick. We will cover the form with this layer, therefore the diameter of the dough circle should be larger than the diameter of the form itself. To make an even circle, take a large plate, attach to the dough and cut a circle with a knife. We take out the form with apples from the oven and remove the foil. Check how much juice is in the form, if in your opinion it is too much, then carefully remove the excess with a spoon. Instead of foil, take a circle of dough and cover it with a shape. Press the dough down so that visually it looks like an inverted plate. We pierce several holes with a toothpick on the surface of the dough, and then cover the mold with baking paper. We bake the tart in an oven preheated to 200 degrees, about 20 minutes.

Step 6: We serve ready tart Taten.

After time, we take out the form from the oven and leave it for 15 minutes. We prepare a flat dish for serving, and then turn the tart on it, straight from the mold.
