- 2.5 kg of cherries
- 1.5 kg of sugar

RECIPE PREPARATION Cherry jam with ginger - summer delicacy:
The cherries are washed and the seeds are removed. Put them on the fire with the sugar and let them simmer until they "thicken". That is, if you put a drop of jam on a plate and it doesn't flow after 2-3 minutes, it is ready. This can take 2-3 hours, during which time we chew, so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pot, especially towards the end. The jam hardens even after it cools, so don't be fooled by its appearance, but better try it. Ginger is added when it is almost ready.
Put the jam in clean jars that you turn with the lid down, approx. 15 minutes, thus sterilizing the lid.
What is important is that we do not put preservatives at all and yet, being cooked so much, it lasts very well for several years.
In addition .... IT'S DELICIOUS !!! ... and slightly spicy from ginger, which gives it a special flavor.
